Green Card
Green Card, officially referred to as a Permanent Resident Card, grants the holder the right to live and work permanently in the United States. To obtain a Green Card, you must qualify under one of the designated categories, such as through an immediate family member, employment, spouse, sibling, child or parent, marriage to a U.S. Citizen/Permanent Resident or contemplation of marriage, and other special circumstances.
U.S. Citizenship
As a lawful permanent resident, you could qualify for U.S citizenship through naturalization after years, or three years if you are married to a U.S. citizen. Additionally, some individuals may be eligible for citizenship if they are adoptees or children of a U.S. citizen, or grandchildren of a U.S. citizen who fulfills the physical presence requirement.
